DWM10352 INDUSTRIAL SAFETY AND HEALTH SESSION 1 2024/2025

Industrial Safety and Health equips the students with the necessary principles of industrial safety and environmental issues in order to recognize the hazardous situation at the workplace and therefore prevents accidents. The course will provide students with knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLO):  

Upon completion of this course, students should be able to: 

1. Explain relevant safety legislation and regulations applicable to the workplace or industry (C2, PLO1)

2. Ascertain hazard, risk assessment and safe work practices in promoting a culture of safety. (C3, PLO6)

3. Explain the professional ethics and responsibility in mitigating safety risk in a technical setting (A3, PLO7)
